Hi! I've been somewhat lame about posting the discussion calendar to this forum; forgive me. Here it is for the next few weeks:
Thursday, April 26th, 2007, 7pm. Our second discussion of the month will be at the home of Lori and Randy in Arlington, MA. Directions again from tamoroso at aq dot org or
Discussion topic: The perils of polyamory :-}
Since the usual societal reaction to polyamory is negative and dismissive, poly folk often find themselves in the position of strongly defending polyamory's possibility and value. But as a result, the actual difficulties of being polyamorous aren't as often discussed. In what ways is polyamory a more difficult or dangerous lifestyle than monogamy? What incidents or situations occasionally make you mutter "Ok, maybe there's something to the mainstream arguments after all?"
Gather at Lori and Randy's house April 26th any time from 7pm onwards. Discussion will start @ 7:30 (really; if you're past 7:30, we won't wait), and end @ 9pm; socializing will continue until we kick people out (probably a little before 10pm).
Directions are available by email from either Tom (tamoroso at aq dot org) or me (rdsl-poly at tigana dot org). Any time after 7pm, just come on in; leave your coat on the coatrack and come through the house to the back room. Shoes may be kept on or taken off, as your preference (though if it's a messy day, do try and get the gunk off). See you then!
Thursday, May 10th, 2007, at 7pm, at the home of Bey and Jon in Somerville.
Topic: Poly Advocacy. How do people promote polyamory? Do people want to promote it, or would they rather be left alone?
Directions as always from tamoroso at aq dot org
